President Trump visited the Palace Museum of China in 2017. Among the historical collections showed to him are the Flower and Bird Atlas by Qing Dynasty painter Yu, Zhi. Selected from the Atlas, the two auctioned pieces below are the highly sophisticated reproduction of the exact paintings the First Ladies of China and US holding for the camera. The paintings represent the highest style and technics of traditional Chinese painting, and convey abundant symbolism.
 
Peng, Liyuan, the First Lady of China, held the painting Summer Lotus. Summer Lotus rises untainted from the muddy depths, and it represents purity and moral integrity.
